I've been using Calphalon Omelet pans for over a decade at this point and haven't found anything that comes close at this price. These pans are nicely weighted and they distribute heat evenly without creating hot spots. Like some other reviewers have found, medium heat ranges work VERY well with these pans. Unlike some that posted below, I've used these pans exclusively on a flat smooth top range and have never had one warp. These pans should be hand washed, but that's generally a very easy job with the non-stick finish. Since these are "heavy-use" pans at our house, I replace them once every 2-3 years or so as the non-stick finish does wear over time. I've never had any chipping or flakes coming off the finish, but they become less non-stick after a couple of years. Chuckling, I do always regret tossing one of these pans that is still functional, but at this price why put up with a worn finish :-).

BTW, in addition to Amazon dropping the price to for the 10/12 set, it also qualifies for the 4 for 3 program.
